With more than twenty years of IT experience, Dave has worked for and with some of the largest and most successful companies in the world.

Dave has worked in the area of Public Safety Radio systems for the last 7 years including technologies such as P25 trunked and conventional systems, Radio interoperability, backhaul network design, and end-user radio equipment.  Focused on standards based systems he has worked closely with the many of the up and coming system integrators and vendors in the P25 marketplace.

He has over twelve years experience implementing, architecting, and consulting on network management systems for both enterprises and service providers. For more than four of those years he was a Product Manager at industry leading software companies. Through his consulting and business development roles, Dave has worked directly with most of the leading software companies in the space today, and is a sought after speaker and panelist at many conferences each year.

Prior to founding Chapman Consultants, Dave was the Director of Product Management at Qovia, Inc., a Voice over IP monitoring and management company based in Frederick, Maryland. As Director of Product Management, he helped move Qovia to a leadership position in VOIP Monitoring and Management market while driving the implementation of a “requirements based” approach to product development.

As the Director of Product Marketing at InfoVista he was responsible for working with InfoVista customers, and business partners, in developing and marketing solutions based on the InfoVista Product suite. He also contributed to strategic direction and helped launch their Business Technology Intelligence vision.

Prior to joining InfoVista, Dave was the Product Manager for Enterprise Management Services at TidePoint where he led a team of Senior Engineers in developing Service Level Management and Business Analytics product offerings. His previous positions include Vice President of Infrastructure Services at The Netplex Group, Regional Manager for RPM Consulting, and Sr. Staff Consultant at E.I. DuPont de Nemours.

Dave holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Rhode Island, and numerous professional certifications.
